RAIN POLICY– Every effort will be made to hold concerts on their scheduled night. Safety is paramount to our summer series. Concerts may be delayed beginning or stopped short of a full show and on-site announcements will take precedence over others. Rain dates are built into season schedule and are only used if bands and musicians are available to return for an alternate date performance. NO ALTERNATE LOCATION IS USED OR SCHEDULED FOR CONCERT SEASON.
A message from the President of the Swartz Creek Fine Arts Association.
As another summer concert season comes to a close, I find myself reflecting with a tremendous sense of gratitude on all that the Swartz Creek Fine Arts Association—and this community—made possible in 2026.
Our summer concerts have always been about more than music. They are about neighbors gathering on the hill, families spreading out their blankets, friends running into one another, kids dancing, volunteers working behind the scenes, and a community coming together to enjoy something we can all share.
This summer certainly brought its challenges. We faced some difficult weather and the disappointment of canceled performances. But week after week, we continued to show up. Through the short summer season, we were proud to keep this tradition alive and provide free live entertainment for the residents of Swartz Creek and communities throughout our region.
That doesn’t happen without an extraordinary amount of work behind the scenes.
I want to extend my deepest thanks to the SCFAA Board of Directors, our weekly volunteer crews, parking team, concession stand staff, and everyone who gave their time, energy, and talents throughout the season. Much of what you do happens before the first note is played and after the last car leaves—and it is the reason these evenings happen at all.
I also want to offer a very personal thank-you to my own family—my wife, my daughters, my son, and my grandson—for their continued patience, support, and hands-on help week after week. The SCFAA is a family commitment in more ways than one, and I am incredibly grateful to have them alongside me.
I also want to recognize someone whose connection to this organization and this community runs especially deep: Roger Sharp and his family.
As a founding member of the SCFAA, Roger represents something that has always been at the heart of this organization: a belief that strong communities are built by people who are willing to invest their time, their energy, and their hearts in the place they call home.
His commitment to Swartz Creek, to family, and to community continues to inspire us. The legacy and strength of the SCFAA cannot be separated from the families who have helped build it, sustain it, and pass it forward. That tradition is one of the things that makes this organization so special.
And, of course, none of this would be possible without the people who support the SCFAA financially.
To our sponsors, members, raffle donors, and year-round supporters: thank you. Your generosity allows us to bring live music to the hill and keep these concerts free and accessible to our community. Every sponsorship, membership, donation, and raffle contribution plays a part in making this tradition possible.
As we wrap up 2026, we’re already looking ahead. Planning for next summer is underway, and we’re excited to see what we can bring to the hill in 2027.

Because at the end of the day, the SCFAA Summer Concert Series isn’t really about the stage. It’s about the community standing in front of it.
Thank you for another summer of music, memories, friendship, and community. Thank you for showing up—even when the weather didn’t cooperate. And thank you for believing that something as simple and wonderful as gathering together for a free concert is worth preserving.
